KantStik® Q Powder
KantStik Q Powder is a free-flowing granular powder that can be readily incorporated into the molding resin. This highly refined synthetic wax ester is excellent as an internal lubricant to assist in the molding process of a variety of plastic resins.
KantStik Q Powder replaces zinc and calcium stearate in many instances. For example, where six to eight pounds of stearate would be required in one hundred pounds of the formula, only six to eight ounces of KantStik Q Powder is required, thus reducing cost of storage space, shipping costs and, of course, the dangers of overuse and waste.
KantStik Q Powder is also a lubricant for food-contact articles made from PVC according to Code of Federal Regulations (FDA), Title 21, Sec. 178.3770 (a). In addition, it can be used to assist in the dispersions of colors in dry blends and/or concentrates that are going to be added to various thermoplastics, such as polyethylenes, polypropylene, nylon, PVC, etc.
